Lower Back Pain 5 Years on!

Lower Back Pain 5 years post Treatment Plan with InterX.

I have seen over 2800 clients over the last 13 years and now and then I catch up with people I have treated some time ago. In this case a lady called Heather who had a lower back pain issue that was not only complex but also resisting a conventional approach.

Most people I see tend to have explored numerous options before they see me for a treatment plan. The process for lower back issues is obviously complex as there are a lot of variables to consider.

Initial contact with the doctor is usually rest and some form of pain medication along with anti-inflammatory medication. This is also linked to not doing a trigger activity like lifting or a sport. If unsuccessful the second element is some form of scan or x-ray to determine any structural issue.

This is essential as it gives a direction. However the worst outcome is nothing conclusive structurally as in the case for Heather. If an obvious slipped disc, bulge or alignment issue it gives a treatment process that tends to start with physiotherapy and potential surgery.

In Heathers case the next process was injections to help with the pain which were only short term in effectiveness.

I went through a comprehensive consultation and structured a plan for treatment with InterX which works through the nerves to reduce pain and inflammation and promote healing. Essentially I also worked on a movement rehabilitation plan so that normal activity could be resumed.

After the treatment plan Heather was in a great place with pain and no additional medication and in her words almost completely healed. 100% success is the goal but 95% is a good finish.

Crucially 5 years on and Heather has had no more back issues and been pain free ever since doing normal activity. I try to have this type of effect with all the people I treat and success means I don’t see people again.
