Do foot rockers work to help plantar fasciitis?

Short answer is yes, but it depends on how you use it!

I have used many different devices to aid in the treatment of plantar fasciitis some better than others. This is definitely one that is more successful. Ankle movement is essential in treating plantar fasciitis and ideally but not essential to be able to move past 90 degrees. This allows the muscles to work more effectively in supporting the fascia and reduce the pressure.

Now obviously you can just move your ankle, I have seen countless plans and instructions for this. However is the speed and focus for the movement that you need.

Using the foot rocker relaxes the leg and allows you to move from each extreme in a structured way. Walking and standing are essentially completely automatic so using something like a foot rocker helps change the focus and allows for a change in skill and habit.

The video explains the movement focus and how to use the foot rocker to help.

I use different rockers and they are all similar the one I use and suggest is  http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09FXC4VQ1/ref=nosim?tag=energymedic01-21
