Knee Replacement Rehabilitation

July 15, 2024

I read lots of different books and a range of topics so it seemed a logical step to write a book to help people with knee replacements and how you can get the most from your surgery!

A knee replacement is fast becoming a standard surgery for knee pain and damage for people over 50 years old. 2023 in the UK alone, just over 100,000 knee replacement surgeries were completed, with a 99% success rate. No wonder the list is growing for this long term solution to knee pain and wear and tear damage of arthritis.

My own journey with rehabilitation from two hip replacements 12 years apart was the catalyst for my research into joint replacement Rehabilitation. This Master’s Degree Research resulting in presenting my year long community research on Hip and Knee Replacement Rehabilitation at the 2015 British Heart Foundation National Conference at Loughborough University.

This research has been developed to support the treatment process I use in my clinic in Stratford Upon Avon Today.

Now I treat people who fall into two categories at the clinic.

  1. Post knee replacement surgery to help with accelerated recovery and full mobility.
  2. People who have had surgery about a year or more previously, but, are still having mobility issues.

I have written extensively about knee replacements and treated and worked with hundreds of patients over the last 12 years and so set about writing a book.

I started writing the book after reviewing several books that were available on Amazon with the view I can help people much more than that and to really support people along their journey!

So off I went reviewing the key elements that people find difficult which are the fundamentals of a knee replacement rehabilitation programme – How to Bend your Knee and crucially how to bend your knee past the default 90 degrees.

I started collecting and editing pictures of people in different positions explaining the movements etc as you would expect. After starting on this journey I realised people just want simple solutions to a problem and specific things to do that work to achieve this.

With that in mind I parked the book in mid process!

I have developed a Knee Replacement Rehabilitation course with four video modules to speed up the process of recovery and rehabilitation from knee replacement surgery.

I have developed a comprehensive Knee Replacement Rehabilitation Programme which can be accessed for the price of a book below!

The course is priced at £17 to cost of a book and can be accessed by clicking the image below
